A Native American-Owned Contractor, Built on Craftsmanship Richard Pemberton started in the drywall trade in 1972, working his way up through the apprenticeship system to become a journeyman finisher. After 15 years learning the trade, he became a licensed drywall contractor in 1987.

In 1996, that experience became Pipestone Builders — a licensed general contractor in the State of Arizona.

Today, Pipestone Builders II is a Native American-owned, licensed, bonded, and insured general contracting firm based in Kingman, Arizona, holding both

General Commercial (Lic. #188755) and General Residential (Lic. #154837) licenses.

Government & Tribal Project Experience Government and tribal construction work requires a stringent set of rules, guidelines, and technical standards. Pipestone Builders has built that trust over decades, completing over 45 remodeling contracts for the Hualapai Nation in Peach Springs, and 25 residential renovations for the Fort McDowell Mohave-Apache Indian Community — including repair, modernization, extensive burn repair, and new construction work.

Our Approach We take a hands-on approach to every project. Pipestone Builders is a small contracting firm with the capacity to scale to a project's requirements, and we only take on jobs within our licensing limits. Every subcontractor we work with is required to be licensed, bonded, and insured
